Christmas in Narnia

Still back-tracking . . . (planning on turning this past year's blog into a book--must be thorough!)--so, we got to "host" our first Christmas here in California! Ma, pa and Tara came out for a week of Christmas festivities and we started our first California Christmas tradition of visiting Sequoia National Park (Narnia) on Christmas Eve, and marvelling at the beauty of the giant trees. We stopped in front of the grand-daddy of them all, the General Grant, which has been standing, in all its magnificance, for nearly 2000 years! There, we read the story of the Three Trees and Aaron had previously written an alternate ending, tying in the grandeur and magnitude of the trees surrounding us and how as they have stood, pointing heavenward nearly since the birth of Christ, they stand as beautiful reminders and beacons of His birth and His life. After watching the Charlie Brown Christmas special, numerous times during the season, Kaia was convinced that on Christmas, it snows! So, one Christmas wish fulfilled, in Sequoia on Christmas Eve!

Kaia got to be an angel in her first Primary Christmas Pageant! (very excited about being a new Sunbeam!)

Kaia and Marcus' Christmas dreams came true! (as did Mommy and Daddy's with loads of food storage from Ma and Pa!!)
